Mints give you the cool, refreshing feeling of a wintry day. Mint is one of the fastest growing herbs! When planting in the garden all mints should be given a lot of room and water. Mint prefers a shady spot and is often planted in a pot to contain its mighty spreading habit.
We grow many flavors to choose from: spearmint, peppermint, orange mint, chocolate mint, berries and cream mint, Costa Rican, and Kentucky Colonel. All have similar requirements and habits, with the exception of Costa Rican which grows upright.
Mint is regularly used in teas, drinks, jellies, desserts, toothpastes, mouthwashes, and more. It is very versatile and can pair with hearty meats, citrus, and virtually any vegetable! It is great for digestive issues and you can crush the leaves and sniff to soothe the soul. The scent of peppermint can dispel a headache, change your mood, and give you a boost.
